If Dio knew years prior that he'd get so much attention from football then, well, what he'd do about it depends on the day; sometimes he basks in the spotlight, the praise; other times he shies away. Sometimes it can get too loud, and sometimes still he can't get enough. Today seems to be one of the days stuck somewhere in the middle, where he can tolerate it and not look for an escape route as soon as someone tries to talk to him. Sneaking friends drinks at a local bar, he tries to wind down from the game that ended just hours ago.YOUR NAME: Dio.

NAME: Dio Brando.
AGE: 121.
CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
NAME: Dio Brando.
AGE: 121.
CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
CANON HISTORY: Here.
CANON PERSONALITY: Dio is, plain and simple, driven by a need for power and status. His need for such is what drives him to do the things he does, especially in Phantom Blood; the cruelty against Jonathan Joestar, the poisoning of George Joestar, and eventually, the rejection of his humanity in favor of becoming a vampire. Because of this need, he's completely eschewed all sense of common morality, compassion, and empathy. He is cold, callous, calculating, and cruel. Driven and determined, once he has his sights set on something there's not very much he won't do in order to grasp it. This includes truly heinous and dirty acts, like ostracizing Jonathan from his former friends by spreading rumors, humiliating him during a boxing match, and assaulting a girl that Jonathan was courting. He's also revenge driven, vindictive; he killed Jonathan's dog in the name of retaliation, just because he fought back against him and won. Unable to handle the prospect that someone would win over him, Dio murdered the dog quite brutally.
He doesn't care much for the typically dimwitted lackeys he picks up in his younger years; even when he finds more devoted followers later in life, he respects very few, and truly trusts even less. Dio considers himself to be at the very top in most everything, better than everyone else. And if he's not at the top, then he'll claw his way there. Being lowborn and raised poor for some years, Dio first sought to become incredibly rich through weakening and killing the Joestars. Yet, as he grew, he became more power-hungry, a crescendo of madness that culminated in his divorce from humanity altogether. It was through the stone mask that he became a vampire, and he took to the newly found immortality and regeneration abilities well, albeit a bit reckless, and it was upon this emancipation that he truly went wrong, completely opposite against human nature.
Despite his penchant for cruelty and violence, Dio has been described by many as charismatic. It's because of this charisma that so many lackeys and followers devote themselves to him so wholly, nearly cult-like in their fanaticism. He asks many of his followers if they'll be his friend, though he doesn't truly think of them as such, and it's through nearly gentle words and offers of power and revenge that he gains these allies. He tells some that he sees their worth, such as N'doul; offers to relieve their pain, like Polnareff; or he simply gives them an outlet for their evil and violent ways, like Jack the Ripper. What he does respect, however, is drive and determination to reach one's end; it's because of this that he ends up understanding Jonathan during their final battle on the ship, honoring him as his true arch-rival. Because of this newfound respect, he declared that Jonathan was fit to die for him, so that he could wrench his head from his body and adopt it as his own.
First, his Stand; its name is The World, and appears as a large humanoid. It possesses quick reflexes, heightened senses, super strength, and incredible precision, very similar to Star Platinum, yet seemingly stronger. It usually attacks in a rapid flurry of punches while Dio shouts, "useless, useless, useless, useless!" as a battle cry. In addition to these physical skills, The World is typically known for its ability to stop time. While, in Dio's scope of reference, the time stop only lasts for a split second at first, it increases to nine seconds over the course of Stardust Crusaders. It has the potential to go even beyond that, and would have, were it not for Dio's death. This power extends to Dio, the Stand itself, any object he touches, and anyone with a similar time stop ability.
It's worth noting that Dio's Stand abilities are akin to that of the Joestars, and it's hinted that this is true because Dio stole Jonathan Joestar's body. As such, he also is able to utilize Hermit Purple, a stand that allows one to divine current happenings through " spirit photography ". This is also why The World's abilities are so similar to Jotaro Kujo's Star Platinum, as Jotaro is a Joestar descendant.
Next, his vampire abilities, even more varied than The World. He is immortal and doesn't age, and he can regenerate faster than fire can burn his body, through absorbing the blood of humans. He's incredibly strong, able to stick himself into walls and walk up them with ease. As he claimed Jonathan's body fully for his own upon absorbing a Joestar's blood ( Joseph's ), he found himself strong enough to lift a steamroller and drop it on Jotaro in stopped time. As well as strength, he boasts speed as fast as a cheetah's, as described by Speedwagon during a faceoff against Jonathan.
With those comes supernatural senses, as well; while Jotaro lay, pretending to be dead ( his heart stopped by the powers of his stand ), he laid his ear to the ground and heard the silence where his heartbeat should have been, though he would have been able to hear the heartbeat were there one at all.
His specific named abilities are also numerous. He performs an ability called Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, which shoots body liquid beams straight from his eyes to tear into his enemies. Ice abilities have also shown themselves, when he freezes many of his enemies and impedes or even kills them.
One of his more prominent powers in the third part of the series is the ability to control one through Flesh Buds, a sort of implant through one's brain that brings out the evil thoughts and impulses in them. The spores try to defend themself upon removal, as when Jotaro removed the bud from Noriaki and consequently had the bud burrow itself in his hand, up his arm, to his cheek. These spores can also kill the infected from the inside out, as demonstrated with Enya. Along the same lines is his hypnosis ability, which he's shown using on Jack the Ripper to sway to his side, as well as a young boy named Poco, who then led Jonathan and his comrades into a trap.
And lastly, for the superhuman power at least, comes his healing abilities; he's able to heal other people as well as himself, such as when he healed Pucci's foot.
As for his skills, Dio boasts intelligence. He excelled in his classes in university, making to be the top student in his law courses. He was able to study his enemies and figure out often successful tactics, as when he stopped the breath and flow of blood of the Ripple users, which impedes their abilities. With this intelligence and tactical knowledge, Dio gathered together an organization of criminals and lowlifes to serve under him, and though his followers were all killed or rendered useless from their injuries, he was nearly able to win against the Joestar group; himself and one of his followers themselves had killed three of six of them. He's also often seen discussing the nature of fear, of power, of life in general, with his organization.
Dio was a boxer in London, straight from the slums, and picked up techniques that Jonathan and hisformer friends has never seen before. He was able to use his experience in the slums to defeat Jonathan in the match. He's naturally resilient, bouncing back from defeat several times throughout his life. He's shown to be a survivor, hellbent on clawing his way to where he wants to be through any means necessary.

After being awoken from a hundred year slumber at the bottom of the ocean, Dio has changed quite a bit. No longer is he as volatile, or underhanded, or prone to as many mistakes in his scheming. He sheds his younger and less worldly self in favor of arrogance, detached misanthropy, and more of a mastermind sort of approach to his plans. He's much more introspective and often has calm talks with his followers. Whereas he would have rejected someone telling him what to do at an earlier stage in his life, he was able to listen to Enya, his adviser and manic follower. Even so, he's still as cruel as he was all along, belittling opponents and killing them with ease.
And of the very few — and perhaps the only person — people that Dio can truly trust is Enrico Pucci, a priest that Dio healed and gifted an arrow that gave him his Stand ability. This demonstrates a more magnanimous and much kinder side to him that isn't seen very often, and certainly not by his enemies. He's able to relax around Pucci, talking with him about anything and everything, often idly.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Dio's abilities are many and varied, as a vampire, Stand user, and a person of great intelligence and ingenuity.

AU NAME: Dio Brando.
AU AGE: 21.
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: He has his very own body, not one stolen from Jonathan; as such, there's no massive scar around his neck. His eyes are also brown, instead of red.
AU HISTORY: Dio was born in poverty in Recolle to his father — abusive, alcoholic, hellbent on getting his next check and, therefore, his next drink — and his mother — doting, tired, pure and unabashed in her love, her devotion. He adored his mother wholly and completely, as she adored him. His father, however, was hated from early on, as early as six years old, when he was able to really grasp that he was mean, bad, manipulative. The fear of him gave way to anger and hatred, and he let it burn quietly in him. His father ran the both of them ragged, telling them both of them that they were worthless unless they were pulling in money for him. When he was eight years old, his mother died as a result of pneumonia, a bout of sickness that could have been cured just fine had Dio's father not insisted on keeping her home because of hospital bills.
It devastated Dio, to say the least, and at the very least her death turned his heart colder to his father. For years he had to put up with and appease him, despising him more and more as time went on. He began to see school and his extracurricular activities as a sort of out, in that if he did well, he'd be able to get into an excellent school and get away from his father for good. He was an honor student, football player, president of the student council, and volunteer; he definitely went above and beyond in his attempts to free himself through college. Yet as he got older, he just felt himself growing more and more numb.
He became friends with Tenmei Kakyoin ( I have Tenmei's mun's permission ) upon seeing that the other often sat alone at their shared lunch block. Dio sought Tenmei's friendship out of curiosity more than anything else; yet as they found they had things in common — their general haughty attitudes, growing up alone, honor student status — they became truly close. Yet senior year came and went, and Dio brought himself into college immediately. He found his classes to be as easy as his high school classes, breezing through them with ease.

AU PERSONALITY: Dio is very much different than his canon counterpart; while he's still incredibly driven, ambitious, and somewhat power-hungry, he's not willing to eschew common human morals as much as he was before; nor is his desire for power quite so grandiose. He simply desires success and monetary stability, since he never knew it growing up. Dio can generally be described as more "human," both in body and mind. He's seen to hesitate more, to debate with decisions, to doubt or second guess himself on occasion. Due to growing up in a society a little more forgiving, as well as growing up more with his kind and loving mother, Dio isn't nearly as cruel or inhumane as he was in his past life. He was shown kindness much more often, and learned that the world can be just as beautiful as it is unforgiving.
Therefore able to form true and genuine bonds more easily, Dio has a couple good friends and a large circle of acquaintances. He's more social since he's able to be, instead of holing himself up in a mansion with only zealots for company.
Though he is more human, Dio often has trouble with emotions; parsing them, and feeling as if he feels them differently than other people. This is because of his abuse growing up, leaving him emotionally stunted and suffering from alexithymia. He can be pretty numb a lot of the time, since he often had to act tough in order to keep things somewhat together in his family when all he wanted to do was fall apart. Despite this, he doesn't exactly withdraw from people. He simply tries to tough it out as he had before, and generally doesn't consider it to be an incredible impediment to him and his success.
All in all, he's something of a blend; between his more ambitious traits, his former potential to be human, and his Stardust Crusaders self — in that he's incredibly introspective and intelligence, philosophical and kind.

Exhausted and just a little tipsy, he pushes his beer towards Tenmei, sitting next to him, who just shoots him a grin and sips off it some. He takes his drink back, tunes into a conversation from the opposite end of the full table they're all sitting at. Even some people have pulled up chairs. Yet before he can quip into the discussion — about a party that was held the week prior, one that he attended — he hears someone call out his name.
"Dio? Uh, I mean, are you ... Are you Dio ... ?" and the sort of borderline reverent tone the girl takes on when she says his name tells him exactly what kind of conversation this is going to be.
All the same, he smiles at her gently, "I am."
"Do you, um, maybe want to come have a smoke with me? I can get you a drink, too. You did, like, so great out there tonight." she sounds shy, and it's nearly endearing. Dio looks to Tenmei, who just elbows him, as if to say to go.
So he nods, "Sure."
He slides out from the edge of the table to join her, walking out to the outside of the bar. They share a communion of smoke and chatter ( mostly from her end ), and he decides he doesn't feel very much of anything at all. But he can pretend he does just fine, shooting her smiles and short laughs and quips when he's cued.
